Difference Between CBD Isolate and CBD Full Spectrum Oil.

It amazes me how uninformed or misinformed the general public is on the differences between full-spectrum and isolate CBD. I had a person come into the shop the other day and said using CBD Isolate was like using cocaine in our soaps and lotions... my reply to him was literally, "How stupid can you be?' Yes, he was offended and I was not politically correct, but good God. There comes a time when you must call out blatant ignorance. So let me explain the basic difference between full spectrum and isolates.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis plants. With the increasing popularity of CBD as a therapeutic compound, a variety of CBD products have emerged in the market. Among these products, two major types are full-spectrum CBD and CBD isolate. Lets explore the differences between full-spectrum CBD and CBD isolate.

Full-Spectrum CBD:

Full-spectrum CBD refers to the product that contains all the naturally occurring compounds present in the cannabis plant, including CBD, other cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and trace amounts of THC (less than 0.3% which is all that's legally allowed). The presence of other cannabinoids such as CBG, CBC, and CBN, along with CBD, is considered to produce an entourage effect. This effect is believed to enhance the overall therapeutic benefits of CBD by increasing its effectiveness.

Full-spectrum CBD is usually extracted through CO2 or ethanol extraction, which maintains the full range of plant compounds. The resulting product is considered to be more effective than CBD isolate due to the synergistic effects of other compounds present in the plant. Full-spectrum CBD is commonly found in products like tinctures, capsules, and topicals.

CBD Isolate:

CBD isolate, on the other hand, is a pure form of CBD that is isolated from other compounds found in the cannabis plant. It is a crystalline powder that is composed of at least 99% pure CBD. The production of CBD isolate involves the extraction of CBD from the plant using a variety of methods, followed by a purification process to remove all other compounds.

CBD isolate is usually considered to be the purest form of CBD and is believed to be free from any potential contaminants. It is often used in products like vape cartridges, edibles, and topical creams and soaps.

Differences between Full-Spectrum CBD and CBD Isolate:

  1. Composition:

Full-spectrum CBD contains all the naturally occurring compounds found in the cannabis plant, while CBD isolate is composed of only pure CBD.

  1. Entourage (or High) Effect:

Full-spectrum CBD produces an entourage effect due to the presence of other compounds like other cannabinoids and terpenes, while CBD isolate lacks this effect but is better suited for a more direct impact on ones health: i.e. arthritis and stiff joint ect.

  1. The Pee Test:

There is a chance to Pee HOT when using Full-spectrum CBD. Understand the chances are low if the manufacture of the oil follows the law and guidelines, but the chance is still there. Yet there is NO chance to Pee HOT if you use an CBD Isolate cause the items the tests are looking for aren't in the Isolate in the first place.

  1. Therapeutic Benefits:

Many feel full-spectrum CBD provides a more significant therapeutic benefit than CBD isolate due to the entourage effect. But this is not the case. Almost all medical trials disagree. The simple fact is, a CBD isolate has better reactions with your bodies natural CBD receptors in your body. Which directly help reduce pain and inflammation.

  1. THC Content:

Full-spectrum CBD products contain trace amounts of THC, which are below the legal limit of 0.3%, while CBD isolate is entirely free from THC. BUT YOU NEED TO TAKE ON FAITH THAT THE COMPANY THAT DEVELOPED THE FULL SPECTRUM OIL ACTUALLY CARED ENOUGH TO FOLLOW THE LAW. Many just say they are within the limits but are selling CBD oils with THC in it to give a better HIGH effect hoping for return customers.

  1. Legality:

Both full-spectrum CBD and CBD isolate are legal in most countries, but the legal status of full-spectrum CBD may be impacted by the THC content.

In conclusion, full-spectrum CBD and CBD isolate differ in their composition, properties, and therapeutic benefits. While CBD isolate is considered to be the purest form of CBD and is believed to be free from any potential contaminants. The choice between full-spectrum CBD and CBD isolate ultimately depends on the user's preferences and needs.
